Gentamycin Teaching 1527

SN advised patient on some serious adverse effects of gentamycin such as: neuromuscular blockade finding, ototoxicity, nephrotoxicity, respiratory tract paralysis, concomitant anesthesia, and muscle relaxants.

Gentamycin Teaching 1528

SN advised patient to report signs or symptoms or ototoxicity or nephrotoxicity during gentamycin therapy.

Gentamycin Teaching 1529

SN advised patient to maintain adequate fluid intake and avoid dehydration during gentamycin therapy as this may increase risk for toxicity.

Digoxin Teaching 1542

Patient was educated about Digoxin 0.125 mg 1 tablet oral daily, this medication is used to treat CHF, tachy arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter (slows ventricular rate).

Digoxin Teaching 1543

Patient was educated about Digoxin 0.125 mg 1 tablet oral daily, side effects may include: fatigue headache, weakness, blurred vision, yellow vision, ARRHYTHMIAS , bradycardia, anorexia , nausea , vomiting , diarrhea, this medication has an action time of 30-120 min, the peak time is about 206 hr and the duration is about 2-4 days.

Digoxin Teaching 1544

Patient was educated about Digoxin 0.125 mg 1 tablet oral daily, instruct to take medication exactly as directed, at the same time each day. Missed doses should be taken within 12 hr of scheduled dose or not taken at all. Do not double doses. Consult health care professional if doses for 2 or more days are missed. Do not discontinue medication without consulting health care professional.

Potassium Teaching 1545

Patient was educated about potassium 10 meq 1 tablet oral daily and the importance to report dark, tarry, or bloody stools; weakness; unusual fatigue; or tingling of extremities. Notify if nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach discomfort persists. Dosage may require adjustment. Emphasize the importance of regular follow-up exams to monitor serum levels and progress.

Patient was educated about potassium 10 meq 1 tablet oral daily and the importance to know sign and symptoms of toxicity and Overdose: (slow, irregular heartbeat; fatigue; muscle weakness; paresthesia; confusion; dyspnea).

Patient was educated about potassium 10 meq 1 tablet oral daily and it's side effects such as: confusion, restlessness, weakness, abdominal pain , diarrhea , flatulence , nausea , vomiting, and the importance to notified immediately nurse/ agency/ doctor/ 911 if any of this persist.

Potassium Teaching 1548

Patient was educated about potassium 10 meq 1 tablet oral daily this medication is given for treatment/ prevention of potassium depletion.
