SN instructed pt on medication Lisinopril 20mg PO daily for HTN. Side effects include: dizziness due to a drop in blood
pressure. Lisinopril can cause nausea, headaches, anxiety, insomnia, drowsiness, nasal congestion, and sexual dysfunction, and Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) and hives may result. Contact the MD as soon as the above signs/symptoms occur.
Amlodipine is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood
pressure and chest pain (angina). SN instructs the patient about the new medication Amlodipine / Benaz may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, especially when you get up suddenly from a lying or sitting position, if you feel dizzy, lie down so you do not faint. Then sit for a few moments before standing to prevent the dizziness from returning. If you faint, call your doctor right away.
