It is often used in people in whom high doses of furosemide are ineffective. , and kidney
disease
. This can lessen symptoms such as shortness of breath and swelling in your arms, legs, and abdomen. Bumetanide is a “ water pill ” ( diuretic ) that causes you to make more urine. This helps your body get rid of extra water and salt. Dizziness may occur as your body adjusts to the medication. Tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly, If this effect persists or worsens. To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. It may cause a serious loss of body water ( dehydration ) and salt / minerals. Tell your doctor right away if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects such as: muscle cramps, weakness, unusual tiredness, confusion, severe dizziness, fainting, drowsiness, unusual dry mouth / thirst, nausea, vomiting, fast / irregular heartbeat, unusual decrease in the amount of urine.
SN instructed patient on medication Sofosbuvir. Is used with other antiviral medications ( such as ribavirin, peginterferon, daclatasvir ) to treat chronic
( long-lasting ) hepatitis C, a viral infection of the liver. It works by reducing the amount of hepatitis C virus in your body, which may help your liver recover. Chronic
hepatitis C infection can cause serious liver problems such as scarring ( cirrhosis ), or liver cancer.Sofosbuvir in combination with other antiviral medications reduces the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body and helps the body's immune system fight the infection. It is not known if this treatment can prevent you from passing the virus to others. Do not share needles, and practice "safer sex" ( including the use of latex condoms ) to lower the risk of passing the virus to others.Fairly understood the teaching.
SN instructed patient on medication Daclatasvir is used with another antiviral medication ( sofosbuvir ) to treat chronic

Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. You may take duloxetine with or without food. Do not crush, chew, break, or open an extended-release capsule. Swallow it whole.
SN instructed patient on medication Torsemide. This medication is used to treat high blood pressure and edema ( fluid retention, excess fluid held in body tissues ) caused by various medical problems, including heart, kidney
, or liver disease
. In addition to taking this medication, making lifestyle changes will also help to control your blood pressure. These changes include eating a diet that is low in fat and salt, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising at least 30 minutes most days, not smoking and using alcohol in moderation. To help you remember to take torsemide, take it around the same time every day. Torsemide controls high blood pressure and edema but does not cure these conditions. SN instructed to patient to continue to take torsemide even if you feel well. Do not stop taking torsemide without talking to your doctor. Common side effects of Torsemide includes: Dizziness or lightheadedness when standing or sitting up, excessive urination, constipation, headache and nausea.

Commun side effect / adverse reaction may include: Body aches or pain, choking, congestion, dryness of the throat, high-pitched noise when breathing, hoarseness, runny nose, sneezing, trouble with swallowing, voice changes. Less common side effect / adverse reaction: Cough-producing mucus, flu-like symptoms, irritation or inflammation of the eye, muscle pain, pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones, sleep disorders, stuffy nose, white patches in the mouth or throat or on the tongue.
SN instructed patient and caregiver that Plavix is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in persons with heart disease
, recent stroke and/or blood circulation disease
(peripheral vascular disease
). Easy bleeding/bruising, stomach upset/pain, diarrhea, and constipation may occur.
Ingesting too much calcium in a misguided attempt to build skeleton may cause kidney
stones, milk-alkali syndrome, or interference with iron absorption.
SN instructed patient and caregiver about Clonidine, it is used alone or with other medications to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney
problems. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Possible SE/AR may include: dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, dry mouth, or constipation may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water, or use a saliva substitute. Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: fainting, slow/irregular heartbeat, mental/mood changes like, irritability, depression.
