Taught that having his/her blood sugar monitored daily is a measure aimed to managing/controlling Diabetes Mellitus (DM).

Taught that achieving and/or maintaining ideal weight is a measure aimed to managing/controlling Diabetes Mellitus (DM).

Respiratory infection Teaching 1243

Patient was instructed on respiratory infection. Sometimes accompanied by 'pink eye', muscle aches, fatigue, malaise, headaches, muscle weakness, uncontrollable shivering, and loss of appetite, fever and extreme exhaustion are rare during a cold and are more usual in influenza. The symptoms of a cold usually resolve after about one week, but can last up to two.

Instructed patient to store NTG in a cool, dark place, in a tightly closed container (this will assure freshness). Replace supply of sublingual tablets every 3 months.

Instructed patient about S/S complications associated with CHF, including bounding pulse, decreased urinary output, increased SOB, increased edema and sudden weight gain.
