SN instructed patient and caregiver that Plavix is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in persons with heart disease, recent stroke and/or blood circulation disease (peripheral vascular disease). Easy bleeding/bruising, stomach upset/pain
, diarrhea, and constipation may occur.
Taught that Lyrica is used to treat pain
caused by nerve damage due to diabetes.
Taught that Lyrica is an oral medication that is used for treating pain
caused by neurologic diseases such as postherpetic neuralgia as well as seizures. It also is used for treating fibromyalgia.
Taught that Crestor may infrequently cause some serious side effects, such as: muscle pain
/tenderness/weakness (especially with fever or unusual tiredness) and change in the amount of urine.
Taught that Crestor may cause highly unlikely but very serious side effects, such as: yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, stomach/abdominal pain
, severe nausea, vomiting and/or fatigue.
