In addition, warned of possible S/E such as sleep disorders, tremor, hypnagogic effects, compressed nerve syndromes, headache, pain, palpitations, pharyngitis, sinusitis, hoarseness (or dysphonia), rhinorrhea, rhinitis, sneezing, nasal irritation, blood in nasal mucosa, keratitis, conjunctivitis, eye redness, viral eye infections, congestion, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and discomfort, diarrhea, gastroenteritis, oral discomfort and pain, constipation, oral ulcerations, oral erythema and rashes, oral candidiasis, appendicitis, dental discomfort and pain, unusual taste, muscular pain, arthralgia, articular rheumatism, muscle stiffness, tightness, rigidity, bone and cartilage disorders, upper respiratory tract infection, upper respiratory tract inflammation, lower respiratory tract viral infection, bronchitis, cough, pneumonia, urticaria, flakiness, disorders of sweat and sebum, sweating, hives, viral infections, chest symptoms, fluid retention, bacterial infections, allergic reactions.

Instructed patient/caregiver on general precautions while taking aspirin: take with food, milk, or large glass of water to decrease gastric symptoms. (Enteric coated or buffered may be better tolerated.); avoid alcohol due to possible internal bleeding; only take the recommended amount; use cautiously with Asthma
; observe and report s/s of bleeding (easy bruising, bleeding gums, black stools); discard medications if vinegar odor is present; do not take antacids due to decreased effectiveness; avoid chewing or crushing enteric coated.

. Albuterol belongs to a class of drugs known as bronchodilators. It works in the airways by opening breathing passages and relaxing muscles. SIDE EFFECTS: Nervousness, shaking (tremor), headache, nausea or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
SN instructed patient that Beclometasone dipropionate is a potent glucocorticoid steroid. In the form of an inhaler ( Clenil, Qvar ), a wide number of brands of which are available, it is used for the prophylaxis of asthma
. As a nasal spray, it is used for the treatment of rhinitis (hay fever and sinusitis). In some instances, it is used by oral pathologists in the treatment of unusually severe aphthous ulcers. Possible side effect / adverse reaction: occasionally, it may cause a cough upon inhalation. Deposition on the tongue and throat may promote oral candidiasis, which appears as a white coating, possibly with irritation. This may usually be prevented by rinsing the mouth with water after using the inhaler. Other side effect may rarely include: a smell similar to burning plastic, unpleasant taste, hoarseness or nasal congestion, pain or headache, and visual changes. Allergic reactions may occur, but rarely. Nasal corticosteroids may be associated with central serous retinopathy

, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, various skin disorders and Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. If taken correctly, the nasal spray and oral inhaler formulation have less corticosteroid side effects than the tablet formulation because they limit systemic absorption. However, if the spray or inhaler is used at higher than recommended doses or with other corticosteroids, serious side effects can occur. These systemic corticosteroid side effect include weakened immune system, increased risk of systemic infections, osteoporosis, and elevated pressure in the eyes. Nasal spray common side effects may include nasal irritation, HA, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nosebleed, and cough. Rare side effects include painful white patches in nose or throat, sore throat, bruising , vision problems, swelling of face or neck, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.
SN instructed patient / caregiver that the combination preparation fluticasone/salmeterol (Advair diskus) is a formulation containing fluticasone propionate and salmeterol xinafoate, used in the management of asthma
and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Commun side effect / adverse reaction may include: Body aches or pain, choking, congestion, dryness of the throat, high-pitched noise when breathing, hoarseness, runny nose, sneezing, trouble with swallowing, voice changes. Less common side effect / adverse reaction: Cough-producing mucus, flu-like symptoms, irritation or inflammation of the eye, muscle pain, pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones, sleep disorders, stuffy nose, white patches in the mouth or throat or on the tongue.
SN instructed patient / caregiver about Methylprednisolone ( Medrol ), it is a corticosteroid used to treat severe allergies, arthritis, asthma
, and skin conditions. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor. Possible side effects, that may go away during treatment, include difficulty sleeping, mood changes, nervousness, increased appetite, or indigestion. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. Check with your doctor as soon as possible if you experience swelling of feet or legs unusual weight gain black, tarry stools vomiting material that looks like coffee grounds severe nausea or vomiting changes in menstrual periods headache muscle weakness or prolonged sore throat, cold or fever. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. DO NOT stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. Stopping this medicine suddenly may cause serious side effects. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are using this medicine. Before you have any medical or dental treatments, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. This medicine makes you more susceptible to illnesses, especially if you take it for an extended period of time. Prevent infection by avoiding contact with people who have colds or other infections. Report any injuries or signs of infection (fever, sore throat, pain during urination, or muscle aches) that occur during treatment and within 12 months after stopping this medicine.
