The patient was instructed in stroke cerebrovascular accident in the need to get correct devices like as walkers, specialty beds, and aids to safety
, feeding, toileting, and grooming. The patient was instructed to deal with chronic pain. The patient was encouraged to use vision on the affected side. The patient was encouraged to use hearing on the affected side. The patient was encouraged to use of the unaffected extremity to assist the affected side in locating and movement. The patient was taught in the use of a hang for the affected arm to care the arm and shoulder. The patient was taught to support affected extremities when repositioning. The patient was advised to limit rotating to and lying on the affected side to 1 hour. The patient was instructed to do range-of-motion exercises of the affected extremities using the unaffected extremities. The patient was instructed to watch the affected leg whereas walking.
The patient was instructed in osteoporosis in the significance of creating home safety
measures to prevent fall
s and injuries. The patient was advised to use ambulatory assist devices like cane or walker. The patient was reviewed of the need for sunlight (15 minutes/day) to let beginning of vitamin D. The patient was recommended to use of calcium supplements.
Instructed patient to keep appliances cords out of areas where you walk.
Instructed patient to place a night-light along the route between the bedroom and bathroom.
Caregiver and/or patient instructed to place a rubber mat or adhesive texture strips on the bottom of the bathtub and/or shower to prevent fall

Patient and/or caregiver instructed to install grab bars in the bathtub. This simple procedure will prevent fall
s while the patient is in the bathtub and at the same time will provide additional support when she/he needs it.
Caregiver instructed to remove small area rugs and place non-slip treads on bare wood floors, steps and also at the top and bottom of the stairs to prevent fall

Patient and caregiver instructed that in the event of a power outage flashlights and new batteries should be placed by their bedside.
Patient and/or caregiver instructed to clean any spilled or splashed grease on the kitchen floor immediately to prevent accidents.
Instructed about good lighting is essential to prevent accidental fall
