Possible SE/AR may include, Diarrhea, Muscle cramps, Dizziness, Insomnia, Nasal congestion. Losartan also may cause: A persistent cough, an increase serum potassium and Impotence.

Bactrim Teaching 1735

Bactrim is an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, ear infections, enteritis, pneumonia, traveler's diarrhea, and episodes of difficulty breathing in people with chronic bronchitis. Serious allergic reactions, such as skin rash, sore throat, fever, joint pain, cough, shortness of breath, paleness, or yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes. Low platelet levels that may be life-threatening, but usually go back to normal within a week of stopping treatment with Bactrim. Watery and bloody stools.

Taztia Teaching 1737

Patient was instructed about Taztia ( Diltiazem ), it belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles of your heart and blood vessels. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders. Possible SE/AR may include, dizziness. When you sit or lie down for a while, get up slowly to allow your body to adjust and minimize dizziness. Also may also experience bloating, heartburn, muscle cramps, headache, flushing, nasal congestion, sore throat, constipation or diarrhea. Inform your doctor if they become bothersome. Notify your doctor if you develop, breathing difficulties, swelling of the hands or feet, an irregular heartbeat.

Cefalexin Teaching 1755

SN instructed patient and/or caregiver that Cephalexin is an antibiotic that can treat a number of bacterial infections. Common adverse effects of Cefalexin, like other oral cephalosporins, are gastrointestinal , disturbances and hypersensitivity reactions. Gastrointestinal disturbances include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Hypersensitivity reactions include skin rashes, urticaria, fever, and anaphylaxis. Pseudomembranous colitis has been reported with use of Cefalexin. Signs and symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, trouble breathing, or red, blistered, swollen, or peeling skin.

SN instructed that Janumet is used with a proper diet and exercise program and possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. It is used in patients with type 2 diabetes. Instructed that common side effects include, nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, weakness, or a metallic taste in the mouth may occur.

Instructed that medication Spironolactone is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. It is also used to treat swelling (edema) caused by certain conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure) by removing excess fluid and improving symptoms such as breathing problems. Instructed that common side effects include, Drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or headache.

Robitussin Teaching 1769

SN instructed patient that Robitussin its used as a cough medicine, and it is sell over the counter. It contains (Dextromethorphan and guaifenesin) a combination medicine used to treat cough and chest congestion caused by the common cold, infections, or allergies. Common side effects may include: dizziness, drowsiness; sleep problems (insomnia); diarrhea; or feeling nervous, restless, anxious, or irritable. Robitussin Overdose may cause breathing problems and cardiac arrhythmia.

Zithromax Teaching 1770

SN instructed patient and caregiver that Zithromax (Azithromycin) is an antibiotic useful for the treatment of bacterial infections. Most common side effects are diarrhea , nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting. Nervousness, dermatologic reactions, and anaphylaxis have been reported. As with all antimicrobial agents, pseudomembranous colitis can occur during and up to several weeks after azithromycin therapy.
