SN instruced patient and PCG to rise slowly from a sitting/supine position while taking this drug because Forteo may cause orthostatic hypotension. Patient should sit or lie down if symptoms occurs.
SN instructed patient to rise slowly from sitting/supine position, as Atenolol may cause orthostatic hypotension and to avoid sudden discontinuation of this drug, as this may cause rebound hypertension. Patient verbalized understanding of instructions given.
SN instructed patient about oxycodone/ acetaminophen ,non-serious adverse reactions include lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness or sedation, nausea, and vomiting. These effects seem to be more prominent in ambulatory than in no ambulatory patients, and some of these adverse reactions may be alleviated if the patient lies down. Other adverse reactions include euphoria, dysphoria, constipation, and pruritus. Serious SE/AR include respiratory depression, apnea, respiratory arrest, circulatory depression, hypotension, and shock .

Possible SE/AR may include, dry mouth, dizziness, headache, somnolence. Some common adverse effects, high blood pressure, orthostatic hypotension, high pulse rate, high blood cholesterol, elevated serum triglycerides, abdominal pain, constipation, increased appetite, vomiting, among others.

SN instructed patient / caregiver that Tamsulosin is used in the treatment of difficult urination, a common symptom of enlarged prostate ( BPH ). Tamsulosin works by relaxing bladder neck muscles and muscle fibers in the prostate itself and make it easier to urinate. Possible side effect may include, Higher risk of allergic reaction in those with sulfa allergies. Patients taking tamsulosin are prone to a complication known as floppy iris syndrome during cataract surgery. Severe hypotension. It also affect sexual function in men. It can cause males to experience semen entering the bladder.
SN instructed patient / caregiver on medication Azor. Explained that azor is a medication used to lower blood pressure. Explained that it is a combination medication of Amlodipine and Olmesartan and it works by dilating the blood vessels causing a decrease in blood pressure. Explained that the side effects include edema, orthostatic hypotension, rash, itching, palpitation and nocturia. SN instructed patient / caregiver to notify physician ( MD ) if experiencing headache, dizziness or flushing.
SN instructed patient / caregiver regarding medication Benicar. Explained that this medication is a blood pressure lowering medication. Explained that the side effects includes hypotension ( low blood pressure ), dizziness, fatigue, headache and /or diarrhea. SN instructed patient / caregiver to notify physician ( MD ) if experiencing persistence or worsening of side effects.
SN instructed patient / caregiver regarding medication Labetalol. SN explained to patient / caregiver that Labetalol is an anti - hypertensive medication. SN explained that the side effects of this medication includes fatigue, weakness, anxiety, bradycardia and orthostatic hypotension. SN instructed patient / caregiver to notify physician ( MD ) if experiencing persistence or worsening of side effects.
Sn instructed that Carbamazepine toxicity frequently presents with neurologic, cardiovascular, and anticholinergic symptoms. Patients with mild carbamazepine toxicity or those presenting shortly after the ingestion when absorption remains incomplete may demonstrate drowsiness, nystagmus, and tachycardia. More severe intoxication may manifest as lethargy, seizure, coma, hypotension, or arrhythmia. Signs and symptoms of anticholinergic toxicity are expected. Toxicity may be prolonged due to carbamazepine's delayed and erratic absorption.
