) and hypertension ( high blood pressure ). It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects: chest pain
, pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest
, feeling light - headed, fainting; feeling short of breath, even with mild exertion, swelling of your hands or feet, nausea, upper stomach pain
, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay - colored stools, jaundice ( yellowing of the skin or eyes ), easy bruising, unusual bleeding ( nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum ), purple or red pinpoint spots under your skin, wheezing, trouble breathing. Less serious side effects may include: dry mouth, constipation, heartburn, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, drowsiness, tired feeling, sleep problems ( insomnia ), or anxiety, nervousness. Do not suddenly stop taking metoprolol tartrate. Sharp chest pain
, irregular heartbeat, and sometimes heart attack may occur if you suddenly stop metoprolol tartrate. The risk may be greater if you have certain types of heart disease. Tell your doctor or dentist that you take metoprolol tartrate before you receive any medical or dental care, emergency care or surgery.

Amlodipine is used with or without other medications to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Amlodipine belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. Amlodipine is also used to prevent certain types of chest pain
(angina). It may help to increase your ability to exercise and decrease the frequency of angina attacks. It should not be used to treat attacks of chest pain
when they occur. Use other medications (such as sublingual nitroglycerin) to relieve attacks of chest pain
as directed by your doctor.
SN instructed patient about Sulfamethoxazole. Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest
tightness, trouble breathing, Blistering, peeling, or red skin rash, Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain
, yellow skin or eyes, Chest pain
, cough, or trouble breathing, Confusion, weakness, Muscle twitching, Severe diarrhea, stomach pain
, cramps, bloating, Skin rash, purple spots on your skin, or very pale or yellow skin, Sore throat, fever, muscle pain
, Uneven heartbeat, numbness or tingling in your hands, feet, or lips, Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness. If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor: Mild nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite.
SN instructed that doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic. It fights bacteria in the body. Take doxycycline exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Take doxycycline with a full glass of water. Drink plenty of liquids while you are taking this medicine. Most brands of doxycycline may be taken with food or milk if the medicine upsets your stomach. Different brands of doxycycline may have different instructions about taking them with or without food. Take Oracea on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.Call your doctor at once if you have: changes in your vision; severe stomach pain

symptoms, fluid retention, bacterial infections, allergic reactions.
Serious side effects of Actonel are chest pain
, difficulty or pain
when swallowing, pain
or burning under the ribs or in the back, new or worsening heartburn, severe joint, bone, or muscle pain
, or jaw pain
, numbness, or swelling. Stop taking the medication and call the doctor immediately if any of these side effects occur.
Isosorbide is used to prevent chest pain
(angina) and reduce strain on the heart in patients with heart disease (coronary artery disease). Isosorbide mononitrate relaxes and widens blood vessels so blood can flow more easily. This medication will not relieve chest pain
once it occurs. This medication may also be used in addition to other drugs to improve the symptoms of congestive heart failure (e.g., trouble breathing).
SN instructed patient / caregiver about Ipratropium Bromide/Albuterol(Duoneb); get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using albuterol and ipratropium and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as: wheezing, choking, or other breathing problems,chest pain

SN instructed patient / caregiver on albuterol. SN explained that albuterol is a bronchodilator indicated in COPD for opening of the airways and decrease shortness of breath. SN explained that side effects include: nervousness, restlessness, tremor, chest pain
, palpitations, headache, insomnia. SN instructed to notify physician immediately if shortness of breath is not relieved or is accompanied by diaphoresis, dizziness, palpitations, or chest pain
