SN advised patient on some serious adverse effect of Lovenox such as: atrial fibrillation, heart failure, skin
necrosis, hemorrhage, intracranial hemorrhage, paraplegia, and pneumonia.
Patient instructed LOVENOX®, like all medications, may have side effects. The most common include
mild reactions or irritation, pain, bruising, and redness of the skin
where you have the injection.
SN advised patient should call your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following: unusual bleeding or bleeding that lasts a long time, unusual bruising, signs of thrombocytopenia (such as a rash or dark spots under the skin
), tingling or numbness (especially in the lower limbs), and muscular weakness.
SN advised patient most common side effects from the use of Lovenox are mild pain, irritation, bruising, or redness of the skin
at the site of injection. Other common side effects include bleeding, anemia, diarrhea, and nausea.
SN advised patient call your doctor or nurse call line now or seek immediate medical care if: You have new bruises that are away from the injection site or blood spots under your skin
, you have a nosebleed., you have blood in your urine.Your stools are black and tar-like or have streaks of blood, you have vaginal bleeding when you are not having your period, or heavy period bleeding.
Instructed patient Call 911 anytime you think you may need emergency care. For example, call if: You passed out (lost consciousness). You have signs of severe bleeding, such as: A severe headache that is different from past headaches. Vomiting blood or what looks like coffee grounds. Passing maroon or very bloody stools. Call your doctor or nurse call line now or seek immediate medical care if: You have unexpected bleeding, including: Blood in stools or black stools that look like tar. Blood in your urine. Bruises or blood spots under the skin
