and other conditions such as heart failure if not controlled. Follow your MD's orders for Heart Healthy diet, exercise as tolerated and take medications as prescribed.

Also the patient was instructed on some measures aimed to managing/controlling hypertension, such as: exercise regularly and have regular check-ups, achieve and/or maintain ideal weight, and decrease sodium intake to decrease retention of fluid and the workload of the heart as directed by MD. Instructed that medication Spironolactone is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney
problems. It is also used to treat swelling (edema) caused by certain conditions (e.g., congestive heart failure) by removing excess fluid and improving symptoms such as breathing problems. Instructed that common side effects include, Drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, or headache.
Instructed patient on medication Irbesartan, it is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney
problems. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. Dizziness, lightheadedness, or upset stomach may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. To reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
Patient was instructed on hypertension. It is possible to lower blood pressure by making healthy changes in the lifestyle. There are 6 lifestyle changes that can help to prevent this disease
such as loosing extra weight, eating less salt, exercising, limiting alcohol drinks at 2 daily, getting potassium every day, following a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products.
