Instructed patient on how to recognize S/S of hypotension, such as, dizziness, blurred vision, fatigue, weakness, confusion, etc.
Instructed patient about symptoms of stroke: weakness or numbness on one side of the face or body, including a leg or an arm. Sudden trouble seeing with one or both eyes. Double vision. Trouble talking, such as slurred speech. Problems understanding or using words. Severe headache. Dizziness or loss of balance. Any of these symptoms can come and go without warning.
Instructed patient on how to recognize S/S of high blood sugar such as: frequent urination, excessive thirst, headache, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps.
Instructed patient about complications requiring medical intervention associated with hypertension, such as: SOB, blurred vision, headache and extreme weakness.
Instructed patient on the possible side effects of NTG, including headache, dizziness with position changes, weakness, flushing, palpitations, fainting, nausea and vomiting. Instructed patient to notify MD if any side effects occur.
Instructed patient about other S/S of cardiac complications requiring medical intervention such as: increased SOB, palpitations, irregular heart beat, faintness, and weakness.
Patient was instructed on the signs and symptoms of hypotension that may happen in a few seconds or minutes of standing up after been sitting or lying down. It feel like fainting. Signs include: dizziness, blurry vision, confusion, weakness and nausea. Those symptoms go away if sitting or lying down for few minutes until the blood pressure adjusts to normal.
Common symptoms of hypoglycemia include weakness, drowsiness, confusion, hunger, dizziness, paleness, headache, irritability, trembling, sweating, rapid heartbeat, and a cold, clammy feeling. In severe cases, hypoglycemia can cause a person to lose consciousness or even lapse into a coma.
Instructed on some signs/symptoms of cerebrovascular accident (stroke), such as: sudden temporary weakness or numbness on one side of the body, among others.
Instructed on some signs/symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis, such as: morning stiffness, fatigue and weakness, among others.
